The ground-floor courtyard at Athletes Village Housing Cooperative is a well-loved and well-used community space. Despite this, a number of maintenance issues have been identified with the space. These include issues arising from historic gaps in management and issues related to the physical design of the space. There have also been questions from membership about if the design of the courtyard supports the intended uses and requests for different design features.
The Courtyard Committee will help maintain, improve and coordinate policy around the current and future uses of the AVHC courtyard. The Courtyard Committee will engage with members on existing concerns and new ideas, research solutions, and develop and present proposals to membership and ultimately the Board of Directors.
