Dear Members,
With the BC moving into Step 3 of the COVID-19 BC Restart Plan, here is what this means in our Co-op as of Thursday, July 1:
- Our Common Room will reopen for bookings and there is a return to normal for indoor and outdoor personal gatherings.
*Note that our online booking form and our Common Room & Roof Garden Use Policy have recently been updated and now allow for designated areas of our Roof Gardens to be booked.

Subject Draft Scent-Free Laundry Room Policy for Review
As discussed at the AV Coop AGM in January, the board has prepared a draft scent-free laundry room policy. This policy is to ensure members are not negatively affected by scents from the shared laundry room, which vents into the courtyard. Unscented products are also healthier for people and less damaging to the environment.

The Co-op Board continues to review the COVID-19 situation and would like to draw your attention to BC’s new COVID-19 BC Restart Plan.
What does this mean in our Co-op?
Based on our understanding of the BC Restart Plan, it would have the following implications for activities in our common areas:
Step 1 (Complete): Indoor personal gatherings up to 5 visitors or 1 other household; Outdoor personal gatherings up to 10 people.

Dear Members,
Our current Common Room Policy and Roof Garden Use Policy, and associated paper-based booking forms, need a refresh. COHO staff and the AVC Board asked the AVC Policy Committee to update them to better reflect usage and shift from a paper-based booking request/ indemnification form to an electronic one. The hope is to have our new policy and booking procedures in place for when we are able to book our Common Room again.

The junk removal has been scheduled for June 1st. Please put any unwanted items down in the designated area in the parkade. Starting May 21st, 2021.
The area is in the back corner of our main parkade. It is right by stairwell #4, and parking stall 75 and 90. This is right by the motorcycle parking. Take the elevator down to P1, go out the door, turn left, then go all the way to the end. Place your items inside the orange cones. All unwanted items must be placed within these…

Back in October-November 2020, a survey was distributed to co-op members seeking input on bicycle ownership and bike parking needs. We greatly appreciate your support on this and are glad to say that we heard from over 80% of members!

Elevators: As you know one elevator has been down. The last update we received from the City Elevator was that new parts will need to be ordered and it will take up to 4 weeks for the new part to arrive. We are just waiting for the parts to arrive.

In regards to the notice about the elevator maintenance, I just wanted to inform you all that this has been changed. Only 1 elevator will be out of service at a time.
