CHF BC has an upcoming Spring Education Conference on April 24, 2021.

Please for an exciting lineup of workshops and two plenaries second online day-long conference, all with a theme of “Bringing it home: Housing co-ops tackling the climate emergency.”

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day will begin with a welcome and territorial acknowledgement at 9:00 a.m. followed by:

 morning plenary featuring CHF BC’s Climate Emergency Task Force at 9:15 a.m.

Next, you can choose from five engaging morning workshops:

• Indigenous anti-racism: Where to begin
• Working together: Climate emergency in our co-ops
• Hoarding: Harm reduction approach
• The Right Fit: Accessible housing for wheelchair users
• Co-op roundtable discussion: Staying connected in COVID

After lunch, and a chance to visit with other members, we are back for a variety of afternoon sessions:

• Reconciliation and community building
• Cannabis regulation and co-operative housing
• Cybersecurity roundtable
• Ask the lawyers
• Rental Assistance Program (RAP)

At 3:15 we’ll hold our afternoon plenary featuring Tiffany Joseph, “In our own backyard,” and we will wrap up the conference at 4:00 p.m.

Cost to register:

$125 per member, $175 per non-member, $500 for up to five members from your member co-op.
