Challenge: Introduce a pet
Closed September 21, draw winner: Meg
We have lots of cool animals living with us in the co-op. This week, introduce us to someone else's pet! Send a photo, a description, a funny story, or anything else that will let us get to know one of our neighbour's animal friends.
This is part of the Events Committee Weekly Quarantine Challenge.
Entries this week!
1. Kim: This is Molly! She is such a sweet, loving and silly dog. We absolutely love taking care of her when her owners are away. When she isn’t cuddling with Alek and Zaki, you can find her in her home on the 2nd floor snuggling up with Emmily Stephens, Ned, and Eammon.
2. Brianne: I sadly don't have a picture, but I absolutely love Falcor (and his humans, too!) He's a new puppy in the building, and he's so gorgeous and sweet. Perfect name for him too. Sketch and Falcor hang out in the dog park, he's always attentive to Sketch; my dog has become very selective as he gets older, so I know Falcor is pretty special!
3. Helen: We live next to a kitty named Kiki. She likes to come in and explore our house and we love having her.
4. Kristie: We live a few doors down from Bacon and absolutely adore him. My kids love walking him and are always thrilled when he passes by our apartment on the way to his walks.
5. Liam: Bear (who sometimes stays with Glen and Judy) is an amazing dog! He is very nice, gentle. and calm. He is small and white with the poofiest-ever little tail! Sometimes I see him playing on my way home from school, he loves to play fetch in the hallway, and when he is done he will walk up to the door! Bear is very smart: when you try to fake him out, he won't fall for it! Bear is the best!
6. Sarah: I also do not have a pic, but I nominate Pirx, the other heeler on the second floor. Pirx is always coming over with a huge tail wag and rolling over for a belly rub. It's so great to have another heeler in the co-op.
7. Meg: How could this challenge pass without mention of Grey Cat and Rook? They are glorious, glamorous cats with buckets of personality. Grey Cat and Rook are lovingly cared for by Cole and Mike. And astonishingly, Grey Cat will even brave the playground kids once in a while for some social time. Love these two!
8. Leigh: I will introduce Sketch, although he needs no introduction! Sketch and Brianne are both long term residents of the building and Sketch is a super sweet dog. Since we don't have a dog, both my boys have been so happy that Brianne has been nice enough to let us walk him on occasion!
9. Marlene: Ada sure loves Hazel from Jenny Woodruff ‘s home. Ada is skiddish around pets, but Hazel is a friendly cat.
10. Alex: I'd like to talk introduce Luna, beloved bow-wow in Patries Lips-Mcintyre's household. I get to see Luna come alive in the dog park or patches of grass in the neighbourhood, as she bounds and leaps in play with my puppy. Luna's eyes of melted gold reflect the kind of heart she has.
11. Patries: I also don't have a picture but we cannot leave out our neighbor Rocky (Katherine and Danny's dog.! He's very sweet and calm and kind!
