FREE Virtual Town Halls: Housing Co-ops & COVID-19 and Ask the LawyersDear housing co-ops and co-op members,
As our emergency responses to the coronavirus pandemic shift to more long-term challenges, the education needs of the co-operative housing sector are also shifting. In response, CHF BC is offering two free upcoming online events to members that will help address some of the new issues you are facing. Both town halls are free but registration is required.
Housing Co-ops and COVID-19: a Virtual Town Hall (Wednesday, April 22, 6 pm) This Town Hall is designed to provide information, resources and strategies to help your housing co-op and co-op members grapple with the pandemic. To register, please click here. *** Ask the Lawyers: a Virtual Town Hall (Wednesday, May 6, 6 pm) Featuring co-op lawyers Geoffrey Dabbs and Grant Haddock, this Town Hall will answer your questions on legal issues arising from the impact of COVID-19 on housing co-ops and co-op members. Both of these events will be recorded and will be available on our website. We are also planning a virtual Town Hall for leasehold co-ops in the City of Vancouver. More details to come soon!
