Stuff

• Thank you to the board for approving the Coho bonuses, will start process much earlier next year

• Halloween lights process documented

• Bechir email process sorted out

• Board approved paying for AV cabinet, waiting for it to arrive, Val will install, need to clean out closet to make space

• Board approved AV gear purchase, it's all been done

• Copying Events Commitee members on calendar emails, reminder that it is just an FYI for these members

• Plans for 9th birthday party in May

  • approved $150 for group photograph, and ask Madalena/Marcelo to take it

  • Cocktail party in garden?

• Start thinking about 10th anniversary celebrations, invite dignitaries etc.

• Potentially funding the choir? Snacks allowance, subsidising the director? No, not under current paying model, where it's not open to all coop members, just paying members (May potentially fund part of the choir directors fee for concert that’s open to all coop members)

• $50/month allocated for youth-led events was approved but was not publicized.  Maybe get a poster prepared to ask if anyone is interested in organizing an event for youth. 

• Disney+ subscription, $90 per year. We currently pay $5/movie and over half the movies are Disney affiliated.  Could also make available to people holding private parties?

• Pi Day potluck in the lobby. Saturday March 14? Money for icecream what time of day to hold it?

• Money approved $30 rolling budget for Catapult competition for end of Feb, early March. Money for prizes

• A few of the kids at coop are involved in Science World science competition contest

• Co-op weaving project, workshop committee could build us a loom

• Mural repainting starting after Christmas

• Book of colouring after mural for the summer

• Spring haiku display

• Open Door Tour event

• Halloween lights process documented

• Bechir email process sorted out

• Need to remove broken cabinet from common room

• Need to update Board meetings into common room calendar

• Need to prep for Jan 27 AGM (Francesca will mention all Events Committee members as point people for events questions)

• Cole is hosting role playing games for kids in April

• Check with Board on alternatives to common room window curtains (Marcelo suggested Ikea black out roller blinds) – Kristy will look into the blinds and Marisol will look into adding a stopper so blinds do not go up too high for members to reach

• Check if someone would be interested in hosting a cocktail party upstairs during the May coop birthday party

• Ask Madalena if she could take pic of coop during birthday party

• Work on mural during bday party

• Emily will look into this year’s bike parade

• Ask Dave re: broken edge on ping pong table, workshop committee couldn't find it

• Kristy will look into a games night for the kids (Ria to host)

• Emily/Francesca to check if Disney+ can stream on the projector in the common room

• Christmas decorations repairs needed:

  • Fix all the ones missing hooks

  • Buy a new Christmas pickle

  • Get broken lights off the tree
