We know you have increasing concerns related to the garage door that has been open now for several weeks and that a number of members’ vehicles have been targeted for theft. Please know that the AVC Board is aware of this issue and we are looking into solutions.

In light of recent events, the Board of Directors asks all members to refrain from using common spaces for the foreseeable future to practice social distancing and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Spaces to avoid gatherings include:
- Common Room, including kitchen, bathroom, and library
- Lobby, particularly area by couches
- Playground and playground equipment
- Hallways, breezeways, and courtyard

Dear Members,
As you’ve noticed for the past week we’ve been having issues with the first gate to the building not closing. We understand that this is a security issue and we are actively working to get this fixed. We’ve been advised that the replacement part will take 2-4 weeks to arrive. The Laundry Room has gone through a facelift. A fresh coat of paint, repairs, a good cleaning and new use signage are done and the room is more inviting.

2019 AV Co-op Gifting Room
The Christmas Gifting Room is a volunteer-run event where children get to pick out gifts for parents and/or family members all by themselves (and with a little help from a Shopping Assistant). What children love most about this event is the way they get to independently choose gifts and then surprise their parents on Christmas day. Attention Members of Athletes Village Housing Co-Op
Between Dec 9th – Dec 20th, 2019 there will be painting in the common areas this includes the laundry room, lobby walls, hallways and doors that access stairwells, janitorial and electrical rooms. There has been quite a bit of interest in starting up an AV Coop Community Choir. We are in the process of finding a choir director to work with our group and are looking for choir participants! Absolutely no singing experience required! This will be a fun, informal group led by a choir director who will help us all improve musically while having the chance to sing together.
